Eglise Gutierrez sang an outstanding Lakme in Sarasota and has a richer and warmer sounding voice than Partridge, which I think suits Lakme better. I wish she had returned for Lakme. Gutierrez is about to hit the big leagues, so she probably won't return to FGO often, but I wish she had been the "house" soprano all these years until now. Leah Partridge is okay and even good in some things, but for me she does not dazzle me with her voice.
