Seraphic Fire celebrates its 10th anniversary this week with a series of concerts of music by young composers, as well as the 18th-century work that gave the ensemble its name.

The Miami choir, which has been nominated for three Grammy Awards this year, will be joined by former members for concerts Wednesday through Sunday in Miami, Boca Raton, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach. Among the works will be the American colonial composer William Billings’ Invocation, which contains the line, “Majestic God, our Muse inspire, and fill us with Seraphic Fire!”

The choir will perform commissioned works from past seasons, such as Sydney Guillaume’s Dominus Vobiscum, Ingram Marshall’s Hymnodic Delays and Alvaro Bermudez’s Padre Nuestro.

The concerts will take place 7:30 p.m.Wednesday at St. Jude Melkite Catholic Church, Miami; 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, Boca Raton; 7:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Coral Gables;  8 p.m. Saturday at All Saints Episcopal Church, Fort Lauderdale; and 4 p.m. Sunday at Miami Beach Community Church. seraphicfire.org; 305-285-9060
