Critic’s Choice

The Kalichstein Laredo Robinson Trio made its debut at a concert for the inauguration of President Jimmy Carter in 1977. In recent years the group has become an annual guest for Miami’s Friends of Chamber Music.

To celebrate the organization’s 60th season and the trio’s 39th anniversary, Joseph Kalichstein, Jamie Laredo and Sharon Robinson will play the complete cycle of Beethoven’s piano trios over three nights. While the “Archduke” and “Ghost” trios are frequently performed, this is a rare opportunity to hear Beethoven’s entire set of works for the combination of piano, violin and cello.

Concerts take 8 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at University of Miami Gusman Concert Hall in Coral Gables. miamichambermusic.org; 305-372-2975.
