Tilson Thomas cancels NWS date

Michael Tilson Thomas has cancelled his September 30 New World Symphony appearance. The orchestra’s artistic director laureate, who was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2022, has been advised not to travel by his doctor.

Andrew Grams will take the podium in his stead. The program featuring the Brahms/Schoenberg Piano Quartet and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 with Leif Ove Andsnes as soloist, is unchanged. nws.edu.
