Due to a heavy persistent cold, tenor Frank Porretta missed the last two performances of Puccini’s Turandot, currently being presented by Florida Grand Opera. Porretta was replaced by Jeffrey Springer for last Friday’s performance and Sunday’s matinee.

A Florida Grand Opera spokesman wrote in an email Tuesday afternoon that Porretta “is said to be fully recovered,” and expected to sing Wednesday night and the rest of the run in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
